Nice Idea, Wrong Agency

A major plank of Kinky’s ‘What I Would Do With The Ag Commission‘ is to set up rescue shelters in every county of the state. It’s a nice idea.
The only problem is, that’s no longer under the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Agriculture, it’s really an effort better undertaken by the Texas Animal Health Commission.
Of course, when Jim Hightower was still running the TDA, the TAHC was still under the TDA.
Maybe it would be helpful if Kinky and his advisers actually learn what the office he’d like the voters to elect him to actually, you know, does before he announces his candidacy.
